Reliable public finance management is one of the core principles adopted by the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. This website refers to Danida’s Center for Competence Development that has implemented two training courses
for Head office staff. Analysis shows that the costs of providing basic training in public finance management using traditional face to face training will be prohibitively expensive, and that elearning will be a more cost-effective option. It is also believed that, in particular, the basic
training in public finance management is a topic well-suited for internet based learning.
